Please make sure to read the following.

Please note that customers purchasing a passenger ticket will be expected to act in accordance with terms and conditions set forth by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in order to ensure safe travel.

While boarding and disembarking from vessels and while on board vessels, passengers must abide by instructions given by vessel captains and company staff in the course of their duties in order to maintain the safety of travel and order on vessels.

The vessel captain may order passengers who fail to comply with the instructions stipulated in the previous item to disembark from the vessel, or may return the vessel to port as a result of such passengers.

All reasonable and logical precautions are taking regarding maintenance and preparation, however please note that travel may be cancelled due to breakdowns, or inclement weather occurring immediately before departure on the actual date of travel.

Passenger Obligations

  1. Passengers shall not engage in any of the following acts or actions.
    1. Recklessly or unnecessarily operate vessel steering equipment or other vehicle operation or navigation related equipment nor operation mechanisms for mobile passenger boarding and disembarking equipment.
    2. Recklessly or unnecessarily enter any area on the vessel to which entrance is prohibited.
    3. Smoke in any smoking prohibited areas on board the vessel.
    4. Recklessly or unnecessarily operate or move any fire extinguishers, emergency alarm equipment, life jackets or other equipment or devices intended for use during an emergency.
    5. Recklessly or unnecessarily operate or move any boarding ramps, crossing gates, or other equipment for boarding or deboarding passengers or preventing falls.
    6. Damage or move any signs illustrating passenger boarding and deboarding methods, or other signs or postings displayed to ensure passenger safety.
    7. Throw or discharge in the direction of the vessel any stones, glass bottles, pieces of metal or any other items which pose a risk of damaging the vessel or injuring the people on the vessel.
    8. Dump into the water from the vessel any items for which marine dumping is prohibited.
    9. Cause other passengers any discomfort or trouble. Engage in any acts or actions which disrupt the order or have negative effects on the hygiene on board the vessel.
  2. While boarding and disembarking from vessels and while on board vessels, passengers must abide by instructions given by vessel captains and company staff in the course of their fulfilling their obligations in order to maintain the safety of travel and order on vessels.
  3. The vessel captain may order passengers who fail to comply with the instructions stipulated in the previous item to disembark from the vessel.
  4. Passengers are responsible for the storage and safekeeping of any belongs which they bring onto the vessel.
  5. The following items may not be brought on board the vessel.
    1. Items which emit offensive odors, items which are unclean, or any other items which may trouble or inconvenience other passengers.
    2. Firearms, swords, explosives or other items which pose a danger to other passengers, property, or the vessel.
    3. Dead bodies or live animals (excluding guide dogs)
    4. Any other items determined to be unsuitable for transport.
Only individuals who agree to abide by the above shall be permitted to apply to Edomaekisen for passage on vessels.
No applications for passage shall be accepted from individuals who refuse or are unable to agree and comply with the above.
